Casuals Under 10s Vs Southwell RFC

Our second game as Under 10s was against Southwell RFC who have traditionally given us a really good game with focus on open running rugby. As both teams start to get to grips with the challenges of rucking, mauling and scrums this year at times it was scrappy with lots of pointers to what will require more work on the training pitch!!! However once Casuals got the ball moving through their hands they opened up the field and scored a number of great running tries. Hugo led the score count with 4-5 (reporter lost count, pretty sure Hugo will know) great finishes and excellent all around contribution. As a team we could have had more if we had found that final offload or inside runner. Southwell kept battling and played some good running rugby of their own and challenged us with some powerful runs at our defence and a number of excellent tries. In the end Casuals ran our winners with second half tries from Lawson, Luca and Ollie. Also worth a mention our two newest recruits Jack and Archie continue to learn what the game is all about and are staring to become great additions to our talented squad.
