Ever seen behaviour that didn’t feel right but weren’t sure what to do? It’s uncomfortable, it’s awkward, and in the moment it can be hard to know how to step in safely or confidently.
That’s why the RFU are running Active Bystander Training at Nottingham Casuals RFC on Monday 15 June at 7pm, and we’d love parents, players, spectators and volunteers to join us.
This short, practical session will help everyone feel more confident to nip things in the bud before they become a welfare or safeguarding concern.
Even better, the skills you'll gain aren’t just for rugby as you can use them at work, in public and in everyday life. And don’t worry, there is no role play. The session is designed to be relaxed, useful and comfortable for everyone.
What you’ll learn
• how to recognise behaviour that crosses a line
• how to step in calmly and effectively
• how to support others who may be unsure what to do
• how we can all help keep Casuals safe, welcoming and respectful

Please take a moment to let us know you’re coming by completing this really quick form.
Feel free to invite other adults too. The more people who feel confident stepping in early, the stronger our club community becomes.
I look forward to seeing you there. Let me know if you have any questions.
