We’re delighted to share some exciting news!
Following a huge amount of work behind the scenes, the club has secured an RFU grant and loan package for matchday lighting, meaning we will soon begin work to install floodlights around pitch 1.
We hope to have the lights operational by December, marking a major milestone in the club's development.
Matchday lighting has been an aspiration for some time and will provide significant benefits for the club, our players, supporters and the wider community. The project will help us create a better matchday experience, increase opportunities to host fixtures and events, and continue improving what Nottingham Casuals can offer both now and in the future.
The Challenge
Raise £10,000 by October
To help make this project a reality, the club has a fundraising target of £10,000 by October.
However, we're not stopping there. Our ideal target is £15,000.
Reaching the stretch target will not only strengthen our contribution towards the lighting project but also help put the club in the best possible position for future facility improvements and finances.
How can you help?
This is where the Casuals community comes in.
Whether you:
Every contribution will help us move closer to switching those lights on.
Most importantly, let's have some fun along the way and bring the whole club together behind a shared goal.
Got an idea?
We're looking for members, parents, supporters and friends of the club to get involved and help us reach our fundraising target.
Whether it's a quiz night, sponsored challenge, raffle, corporate sponsorship, social event or something completely different, we'd love to hear your ideas.
If you'd like to organise an event, support our fundraising efforts, or discuss an idea, please speak to:
• Penny Nichols
• Steve Sarno
• Henry Franklin
• Adam Connelly
We'll do everything we can to support you and make it a success.
What about additional training lights?
Many members have already asked about the next phase of the club's lighting plans.
Additional training lights remain a key priority and continue to be part of the club's longer-term development plans.
Our current aim is to deliver this project during the 2027/28 season. With planning work progressing and infrastructure forming part of our wider strategy, we expect this to be a more straightforward project to deliver once the matchday lighting project is complete.
Let's make it happen
This is a fantastic opportunity to take another significant step forward as a club.
Together, we can achieve something that will benefit Nottingham Casuals for years to come.
