As per the e-mail last week regarding the state of the track to the club and the car park, Saturday 13th April will now be known as 'Pothole Saturday' and we NEED YOUR HELP!

Now the weather is getting better, we're running a Club day to repair the state of the track and car park to make it 'car friendly' again. The club needs to purchase the raw materials and rent some ‘whacker plates’ to flatten it all out.

We last did this process in September 2020, where a team from all across the club came down, filled in the potholes and this lasted well. We’ll be repeating this process.

The club will purchase raw materials like stone & sand, plus rent the ‘whacker’ plates. We need an army of volunteers with any of the following to fill the holes and flatten:-

- Shovels / picks
- Spades
- Wheelbarrows
- Whacker plates
o For flattening
- Clippers/hedge trimmers
o To cut back the hedges so more cars can get past

We’ll be meeting at 09:30 and work for 2-3 hours, hoping to finish at lunchtime. If anyone has industry contacts and/or knowledge of tips and materials to buy, please contact Bryn on the details below. Full plan to be shared the week before.

It would be great to have representation from across the WHOLE club, we’ll probably need 30-40 and EVERYONE can help, even if it’s just making tea & coffee for the troops! (Last time the Juniors and Girls team helped a lot)

Children doing Duke of Edinburgh awards can include as part of their volunteering.

There is a fundraiser you can donate now on the club website. For the cost of the average cup of coffee in the UK, £2.50, you can help us raise funds for this. If every player at the club buys one ‘cup of coffee’ we’ll raise £750.

The club will match all funding. You can make as many donations as you like!
