CAPTAINS MATCH REPORT BY ED THOMPSON

Today was an important match at Mellish and we came into this game with a beating from them in the previous friendly so we had to prove to them we were going to win this cup match. We all knew that the game would be physical and exhausting but every single one of us prevailed and didn't let ourselves down. We played outstanding in the first half with some quick tries using the width and power and good combination of using backs and forwards with the fire and ice drills we have been practising. In the second half we did well to maintain our lead mainly due to the forwards so massive shout out to all of them. As tired as we were at the end we all had big smiles on our faces. I would like to say thank Tommy for joining us and playing unselfishly with great team spirit! Roll on the finals! Ed
