CAPTAINS MATCH REPORT BY ED THOMPSON

Today we went to Derby for the long awaited Cup final against Southwell. At the start of this match we conceded two early tries roughly in first five minutes,but then we switched on and competed through to the bitter end. We did some amazing tackling even tap tackles. We won alot of freekicks but lost alot of balls in our scrum. And as per usual we didn't use the wings as much as we could have,where the gaps were. It was a hard fought game with loads of passionate support from both sets of parents. We were in the lead with 10 minutes to go but let it slip with two silly tries. Fair play to Southwell but honestly it could have just as well been our win. Overall we fought hard and gave it our best it just wasn't good enough on the day. We have come a long way since the start of the season and improved greatly. Let's build on this and come again next season. We'll done boys proud of you all! Ed
