Keyworth v Nottingham Casuals U15
In a challenging match that saw our team struggle against a formidable opponent, we faced a heavy defeat. The first half began with an aggressive start from Keyworth. They quickly established dominance, scoring a number of tries within the first 20 minutes. Our defence was tested repeatedly, and we struggled to maintain possession of the ball. At halftime, the score stood at 47-0 leaving us with a steep hill to climb in the second half.
With a great motivational talk by Miles during the break, we manged to get going back in the game with a try from Amani. However Keyworth continued their rhythm scoring an additional try. Our players showed resilience, Amani again, with another great run saw us get some points and another try.
There were some upsides shown by the forwards in the lineouts, scrums and our ruck speed was improved. Mohammed put in a great shift and Ben as captain provided the motivation and support to keep our heads held high. This match served as a stark reminder of the areas we need to work on. While the defeat was disappointing, it provides valuable lessons for our upcoming fixtures. We must regroup, analyse our performance, and come back stronger in the next match.
