Today’s match was a great opportunity for the under 16's to experience what it may be like playing in colts from next season. It was a close game but unfortunately another loss. The first half was not the best but the lads held on well to only a 10 point difference going into the second half. The main takeaway from the first half was that we need to be going into contact in threes and making sure that we are getting there fast as supporting players and rucking low and hard. but the performance that the lads put on in the second half was incredible as everything improved, tackles were powerful and the support was there. Some of the set pieces didn’t go our way but the lads did well and we managed to overtake Melbourne in points however we lost concentration and our tackles were sloppy which led to Melbourne scoring the last minute winner.
Yes it was a loss but a great learning experience im sure we will take a lot from.
