Casuals U8s vs Long Eaton

Like the Spartans of King Leonidas, our small bunch of Casuals (some who even had the correct kit), rocked up at West Park last Sunday to be greeted by a the pristine hordes of Long Eaton U'8s.

The Casuals, after lulling their opponents into a sense of false security by starting incredibly slowly, then proceeded to play some outstanding tag rugby in both defence and attack, ultimately coming home convincing winners.

One of the things that the Coaches enjoyed the most was that both of our teams managed to get a 6-tag turnover through brilliant defence play as a team, even though the Long Eaton pitches were really very wide. We also featured some excellent support play. Long Eaton even gave Player of the Match to one of our players, Jonah! Very Well done.

U8's are turning into a really good team and we look forward to our coming games, starting with Melbourne and their prize sausages!
