Casuals out numbered their opposition with Mellish only fielding one team while Casuals managed three. While each casuals team faced Mellish the other two took the opportunity to get a practice match in. All three games against Mellish were competitive and played in a good spirit. Casuals good tackling started to dominate with a couple of particularly impressive tackles coming from Sery whose tackle drove Mellish back over their own line leading to ref not knowing what to do (it should have been a 5 metre attacking scrum ?) notably mentions for tackles also have to go to Thomas and Horatio. Casuals scored some excellent tries with examples of evasive running (Harry H, Olly S, Harry M amongst many others) and even the occasional pass. Hedley's flat miss pass was probably the highlight as took out a couple of Mellish defenders and allowed his team mate to score unopposed. The commitment was great all the way to the end with player of match Ayla scoring a late try in the last match after Casuals defence again forced Mellish back. Casuals pounced and a couple of phases later Ayla went over to cap a great all round team performance.
