Ilkeston brought with them, two teams; providing Casuals U10s with two matches and two different sets of challenges.

The first game started really brightly and as both teams worked each other out, they probed defensives lines looking for gaps. It was Casuals who struck first, Rory popping through Ilkeston's line. Ilkeston sparked into life and responded by scoring three unanswered tries in quick succession. Sery and Thomas flew around making tackles and William danced through for a couple of scores as tries went from end to end as the game finished a draw.

The second game was a story of two halves for Casuals. Casuals were uncharacteristically loose with their tackles and slow to the ruck allowing Ilkeston to take advantage of Casuals fractured defensive line to score tries; with Casuals offense having some joy the other way as well, but Ilkeston dominated the first half. At half time, the players refocused and discussed about being more aggressive and the showing the opposition how strong they are. Casuals came out of the blocks really well and really attacked the game to wrestle control away from Ilkeston. A fantastic second half performance full of aggression, teamwork and uplift in tempo made the game really difficult for Ilkeston and created space, particularly for Harry M, who ran through for four second half tries. Harry won player of the week to cap a great day.
