Casuals come out victors in a tight game over Ilkeston, to book a final appearance

Casuals maintained their winning run, but suffered a scare when Ilkeston staged a fightback.
Casuals progressed through to the finals of the NLD Shield with a hard fought win over their near neighbours Ilkeston.
Casuals managed to build a lead, but allowed Ilkeston back into the game and they went ahead.
Casuals eventually clinched the tie with a late try.
Brodie Howatson scored the first try, Marcus Dimmock the second, and Liam Tighe the third shortly before half time.
Mark Higgins kicked a penalty shortly after ½ time, but it was only when the game was near its conclusion when Howatson went over for the 4th try, and the win.
Carl Norman & James Thorne made their debuts in the fixture.
Casuals can now look forward to a cup final against yet to be announced opponents, at a venue to be decided.
Next up second placed Ashfield in the league, in a league and cup double header.
