Bonus point win moves Casuals to the top of the table

Casuals made their usual start, giving Sleaford some early hope, before blasting their hosts with a 5 try haul, giving them another bonus point win.

Sleaford kicked an early penalty to take a 3 nil lead, but following a scrum, Casuals backs got the ball to Chris Brelsford on the wing, and he outstripped the defence for the touch down

Sleaford kicked a 2nd penalty to edge in front, but Casuals regained the lead when they stole a lineout, and following a storming run by left wing Ben Wilkinson, Higgins sneaked in from the back of a maul, and then added the conversion.

After ½ time Casuals piled on the pressure, and more excellent work from the forwards developed play from a lineout, mauling up field, giving Will Drewe the room to go in for the 3rd try, which was also converted.

A bit of quick thinking by hooker Graeme Roberts, set up the move for the next try.

He got the ball back into play quickly from a Sleaford touch kick, and the ball was moved across field to full back Ben Hallam, who used his blistering pace to run in the left hand corner, giving Casuals the bonus point.

Stand off Drewe set up the next try when Casuals secured line out ball. He took on the Sleaford defence and sliced straight through, and with only the full back to beat, he fed Brodie Howatson who ran in from 40 metres with no-one to challenge him. Higgins again converted.

When Casuals put their subs on, Sleaford started to come back into the game.

Whereas before Sleaford had been unable to penetrate Casuals defences, they suddenly found room to get deep into Casuals territory, adding a penalty and 2 tries, making the scoreline somewhat more respectable.
