Midlands 2 East North
Leics Forest 27 Casuals 13
The hosts got revenge for the comprehensive defeat earlier in the season, but the win made no difference to the league standings.
It was their direct approach and determination that gave them the edge, as Casuals put in a bit of a lacklustre performance, mainly up front, where the scrum superiority was evident (gained a bit by the early push, but that should have been dealt with by Casuals, and maybe even possibly the ref)
Forest scored 2 tries to Casuals one penalty from Mark Higgins, and a try to the "youngster" Dave Mellor, who sneaked in on the end of move from a free kick, Higgins converting.
the score at half time was very close at 12 - 10 , but in the second half, despite some sporadic attacks from Casuals,Forest went over for 2 more tries to get the bonus point win.
casuals only managed another Higgins penalty, and a yellow card into the bargain, so it was not the prettiest of games to watch from the casuals supporters perspective.
