Casuals haul Kesteven back to bag another bonus point win
Casuals came close to losing their 100% record to a determined Kesteven.
It took until the 2nd half, but Casuals eventually wore down the visitors to record their 20th win in the league, and secure the 18th bonus point.

Kesteven under pressure, managed to break out, and get through for a try under the posts which was converted by Higgins
8 minutes - James Wood scores for Nottingham Casuals
Casuals won a penalty which routinely kicked to touch by Higgins, Stu Williams won the throw in, and then Yann Moysey at stand-off timed his offload perfectly to give James Wood the momentum to charge through the centre, going in between the sticks giving Higgins the easiest of conversions.

Kieran Maisonnet made a break down the middle, and although the subsequent move broke down, Dan O’Connor eventually went through to score under the posts, followed by the conversion from Higgins.

Ks rode their good fortune, when the ref missed a very clear and obvious knock on, and their fullback went in down the wing.

Casuals lost a scrum, the ball was shipped to the left wing, and a simple try for Ks, but not converted.
Things weren’t looking too brilliant, but Casuals showed their tenacity, as they then started to claw their way back into the game. The 10 point gap was swiftly closed down.
Casuals well practiced routine, a penalty kicked to touch near Ks goal line, Stu Williams routinely and efficiently won the lineout ball, and for once decided to hold on barging through to score.
Higgins added the conversion from wide out, and Casuals were 1 score behind, but not for long
40 minutes Penalty for Kesteven increased their lead to 6 points.
2 minutes Casuals started the 2nd half, taking play well upfield.
Ks were penalised, once again the kick to touch, driven maul, Casuals keeping the ball alive.
Another lineout and drive, and Mark Higgins sneaked in off the back to score & convert for Casuals, giving them the lead for the first time in the game.

19 minutes Yann Moysey then scored for Casuals, deserved reward for his earlier efforts, stretching Casuals’ lead.
30 minutes Mark Higgins kicks a penalty for Casuals, and seals the game for the hosts.

A hard fought win for Casuals, but lasting the 80 minutes was key in this victory.
