Midlands 2 East North
Nottingham Casuals 10 Oakham 29
Casuals slumped to yet another league defeat at the hands of visitors
Oakham.
Casuals, despite fielding a strong side including a swift set of backs
were rarely able to mount any decisive attacks, as Oakhams defences
held firm.
Winning some good possession, Casuals were much too wasteful.
Oakhame must have been very glad that Casuals didn't construct too many attacks
Casuals only managed one penalty and a converted try against Oakhams 5
try haul.
Mark Higgins kicked one penalty in the first half, and it wasn’t until
the second half that Casuals put together the most telling attack.
A ball of the top of a lineout was put out to the backs, and Steve
Naylor came off his wing to cut through the middle, offloading to Omar
Dixon, who streaked off for the touchdown, his 3rd in 2 games.
Higgins converted.
