Casuals maintain top spot in Midlands 3 E (N)

The 1st XV continued their impressive form, with a 4th straight victory.
They found Boston a tough nut to crack, and for a while Boston held the lead.
After a period in Bostons half, Casuals lost ground, giving away a string of needless penalties, and in the 1st meaningful attack, the visitors crossed for a try.
Casuals came back into the game late in the half, taking the ball at a lineout, a crisp crossfield passing move, gave Ben Wilkinson the opportunity to touch down wide out.

Immediately at the kick off to the 2nd half, Casuals won a turnover in the ruck and Josh Tilford pounded through some pathetic tackling for a well deserved try, Mark Higgins adding the kick.

Casuals then kept the pressure on Boston, but again they gave away penalties at crucial times,(gobiness) enabling Boston to move up field and close the gap with a penalty.

Casuals once again took play deep into Boston territory, winning a scrum they kept the ball alive through a series of rucks and mauls, and Joe Barton put in a trade mark run, bashing defenders out of his path, to slam over for the deciding try, again Higgins adding the conversion.

This was a game that Casuals deserved to win by a much wider margin, but the discipline on this occasion let them down.
The ref might be even less lenient at Kesteven
