Casuals maintained their solid start to the league programme with another convincing win in windy Lincolnshire to strengthen their position in top spot.
Playing up the slope in the first half Casuals had to endure an opening first 10 minutes of Kesteven pressure.
A superb penalty to touch moved play into Kestevens half and from a resulting midfield ruck Joe Barton picked up and ran laterally across field before forcing his way over for the opening try.

Kesteven got themselves on the scoreboard when Casuals managed to lose possession, and then were penalised, to set up a penalty goal for the home side.

Casuals were awarded a penalty in their 22 and Higgins quick penalty take, saw him scamper to the opposition 22, where he linked up with Josh Tilford to send Ben Wilkinson in at the corner.

It was Higgins again who got the scoring moving again in the second half when he jinked through, and he then fed Brody Howatson who broke several tackles before sprinting away for the try, which Higgins converted.

A yellow card offence in front of Casuals posts saw them reduced to 14 men, but Kesteven only managed to add a penalty goal.

The final scores came from Higgins’ boot, with
two superbly struck penalties into the gale, to rack up Casuals 3rd league win, and 5 on the trot.
