A last minute penalty from Ed was enough to clinch it! I felt that we should have done enough to put the game to be earlier but on reflection I think the opposition were stronger than we gave them credit for. We made a lot of mistakes but also did some great stuff. Well done for fighting to the end, we won deservedly. A very good hat trick on debut from Mike who looks like an excellent addition to the club. Welcome to Marcus who made an impact on debut at scrum half before leaving the pitch with a sore head. James also had a good debut at hooker which really seems to be a position of strength at the club. Thinking back a lot of people had good games albeit with a few iffy handling errors, our tackling improved as the game went as did our line speed. I apologise if I miss people who deserve a mention but off the top of my head I felt that Paul did a good jobs as scrum half for most of the game keeping the forwards going forward (eventually), Hobbo for organising the defensive line and pushing the opposition back (especially in the second half). Another good game from Flem and Ed....Tim looked very good at 8 for his first game back this season and well done to Man of the Match Lewis.
