Casuals 2nd XV side were looking to get their season back on track entertained Mellsish 2nd XV at home. After conceding a try relatively early on in the game, Casuals stepped up their defence and at the same time continued to put Mellish under pressure in attack, where only good defence from Mellish, and a few too many handling errors kept Casuals out of the try area.
After a prolonged period of highly contested rugby where neither side managed to get any points, Casuals Lewis Brow finally opened the score for Casuals with a try close to the posts, converted by Dan Holmes. Casual’s second try came from Adam Errington, that was again converted by Dan.
In the final minutes of the game Mellish pushed hard and advanced? to a good field position by a series of penalties from Casuals, and with the final move of the game they managed to score out wide, making the final score a fair 14-10 to Casuals.
