The inspiration and determination of previous weeks appeared to have gone a miss this week.

With the return of Kelvin Stephens from injury and a guest appearance from Ian Slater the pack dominated from the first scrum, winning Worksop’s put in and pushing them back with ease.

An early Worksop try was quickly responded to by a Dan Holmes try which was converted by Edd Greenal.

Cracks started to appear in the Worksop team and following some ill discipline saw the sending off a Worksop prop.

What should have been the setting for a Casual’s reinvigoration and the time to capitalise on the 14 man Worksop side didn’t come into practice. Worksop reformed and quickly ran in two further tries to take the lead. A tired but determined Casuals were unable to pull back the points!
