Code of Conduct 2 of 7

2. Spectators

As a supporter of rugby at Nottingham Casuals RFC you are expected to:

  • Accept that the referee will not please everyone all of the time
  • Never publicly question the referee's decision and encourage players to accept all decisions. If you have a question for the referee we suggest you talk to them over a drink in the bar after the game
  • Set an example and applaud good play by both teams
  • Never ridicule or shout at a player for making a mistake, give encouragement or keep quiet
  • Help to remove all verbal and physical abuse
  • Keep off the pitch during each match. Stay behind the barrier on the first team pitch and at least a metre back from the touchline on any other pitch. The area between the barrier and the touchline on the first team pitch is for players and coaches only

Everybody has the right to enjoy themselves watching rugby. Do not allow your actions or the actions of your fellow supporters spoil it for others and risk lowering the reputation of you team.
